Shotgun Pro is the latest and most advanced front-mounted child seat from Kids Ride Shotgun. Quick-release clamp, anti-vibration system and magnetic foot-pegs make it the go-to choice for parents who ride MTB frequently. We are an authorized dealer and install free of charge in our workshop in Sweden.
What is the Kids Ride Shotgun Pro?
Shotgun Pro is the latest version of the world's best-selling front-mounted MTB child seat. It sits in front of the rider on the steerer tube, letting the child sit safely between the rider's arms with full forward view – perfect for flow trails and singletrack with kids aged 2–5.
Released in 2023, the Pro model brings three key improvements over the Original: a quick-release Boa clamp (swap bikes in under 30 seconds), magnetic foot-pegs that don't dangle, and an anti-vibration system that dampens impacts through the bar.
Pro vs Original – which one?
Pick Pro if you'll use the seat 50+ times per season. The quick-release saves time and the magnetic foot-pegs stay tucked when the child isn't riding. Anti-vibration is noticeable on rooty trails.
Pick Original (around €130 / 1,695 SEK) if you only ride a few times per season or budget matters most. Original uses a strap mount that takes 5–10 minutes to move between bikes.
Does the Shotgun Pro fit your bike?
